Luinuomphai was founded in 1952 by Liensiem, marking its beginning in the middle of the twentieth century. The establishment of the village represents the continued formation of Gangte communities during a period of social and historical transition. From its early days, Luinuomphai became a place where families and generations established their lives and maintained community connections. Its history is carried not only in its founding record but also in the memories and experiences of those who have lived there. Documenting Luinuomphai helps preserve another important piece of the diverse settlement history of the Gangte people.
Every village carries stories, memories, traditions and people worth remembering. Together, we keep these stories alive.
