Lenglong was established in 1886 by Singchuoilo and is located in the Nungba Sub-Division. Its origins reach back to the nineteenth century, placing it among the older settlements in the Gangte historical record. Over more than a century, the village has been home to generations of people whose lives have contributed to its continuing story. The passage of time has brought changes, but the foundation laid by its early settlers remains an important part of its identity. Lenglong’s history provides a valuable link between the present generation and the earlier generations of Gangte people who established communities in the region.
Every village carries stories, memories, traditions and people worth remembering. Together, we keep these stories alive.
