It is the sole garment used as a shirt in the Gangte community worn by both men and women. Tuolpuonak has no collar and is generally woven with a single yarn (Sieka Ibid). However, Tingkhothiem [Tinkhothiem (80) W/ 0. Upa Mangpu of Luongpi, Tamenglong District] maintains that it is an indispensable waist length men's wear. This apparel has pockets in the inner side, necessarily around the chest. The pocket is generally used to place the pipe bowl. The apparel is a common wear among the male members of the olden days Gangtes.
