Puontheh

Puontheh is a multipurpose piece of cloth that can be used for any occasion or function. It is designed and patterned according to one's wish and has no distinct colour scheme. In tribal custom, this cloth is generally used as a gift on happy occasions or even for condolence purposes to a bereaved family. Some women also use it as a convenient wrap-around. It is woven using a single yarn in the intersection pattern throughout the loom.
