[Chinboi S (45), d/o (L) ST Pauzamang Gangte, chief of Khousabung vill, Ccpur. Manipur interviewed on 29/09/ 2013] Nik-san is a traditional kilt (skirt-type garment) exclusively worn by women in olden days. This knee-length outfit is put and tightened around the waist with a piece of string attached with the garment. It is solely found in two colours-deep red (maroon) and black. It is said that the apparel is worn by women at any occasion. This apparel has close affinity with the traditional Nik-langkhaih. Both garments have almost shared complete similarity.
