Puonlaisan is a very lavish pattern worn and dearly owned by women belonging to the well off families. In olden times, it was a privilege among women to own and flaunt Puonlaisan at social gatherings. It is an intricate design colourfully patterned in several lively and vibrant hues chiefly of white, red, yellow and black.
