SUONGPIBUNG VANGKHUO

Suongpibung was established in 1945 by Soikhopau, near the end of the Second World War. Its foundation forms part of the continuing expansion and development of Gangte settlements during the twentieth century. Since its establishment, the village has grown through the efforts and contributions of successive generations, each leaving its own mark on the community. Suongpibung therefore carries both a historical beginning and a continuing living story. Preserving the village’s founding details and its community memories can help ensure that its place in Gangte history remains visible and accessible to future generations.
