Teikhang was founded in 1910 by Awnzam and is located in the Nungba Sub-Division. Established in the early twentieth century, the village forms part of the continuing history of Gangte settlements in the region. Like many traditional settlements, its story is connected to the people who established their homes there and to the generations that followed them. Teikhang represents a chapter in the gradual development and spread of Gangte communities. Documenting its founding, location, and history helps preserve the memory of the people and events that shaped the village over the years.
